Organic Farming

Organic farming for us represents a resilient and regenerative model to protect biodiversity in all the geographical areas where we operate: the diversity of animal and plant species is the heritage we are safeguarding through our agricultural activities. Our commitment takes the form of fruit production, beekeeping, with an oversight of the entire supply chain, and the protection of biodiversity in individual territories.

A commitment that is not limited to crops but involves native animal breeds, such as the “Moscia Leccese” sheep, of which we are the only breeders and guardians, and which is already part of Slow Food’s Arca del Gusto (Ark of Taste). Finally, it also involves the local communities in which we operate in order to combine the needs of a market that is attentive to the traditions of the territory with those of a new “paradigm” that sees social cohesion, young people and knowledge at the center in order to favour the affirmation of new, more inclusive and sustainable development models.

 

Agricoltura Biologica

L’agricoltura biologica per noi rappresenta un modello per la tutela della biodiversità, in tutte le aree geografiche in cui operiamo. Diversità delle specie animali e delle specie vegetali che convivono nello stesso territorio, varietà degli ecosistemi. Questo è il patrimonio che stiamo salvaguardando attraverso le nostre attività agricole. Il nostro impegno si concretizza nella produzione di frutta, nell’apicoltura, con un controllo di tutta la filiera e nella tutela della biodiversità del territorio. Un impegno che non si limita alle colture ma coinvolge anche le razze animali autoctone del territorio, come ad esempio la pecora Moscia Leccese di cui siamo allevatori e custodi della razza.

The project aims at the creation of a circular and sustainable Italian superfuits supply chain, through the adoption in the field of precision farming technologies for the reduction of water consumption for irrigation use and the implementation of a zero-waste production process. A unique and integrated sustainable model with a high efficiency and innovation content, designed to ensure affordable, healthy and quality food.

Over the last three years, the company has launched an important agricultural infrastructure programme in Salento, between the provinces of Brindisi and Lecce, through the regeneration of uncultivated or abandoned land and the organic cultivation of pomegranates of the ‘Wonderful’ and ‘Ako’ varieties. The widespread use of electronic instrumentation for precision agriculture guarantees ‘individual’ monitoring of the state of health and development of the individual plant, preserving quality and productivity.

Myenergy

Hinged on the principles of circular economy, Myenergy’s project is developed with the aim of revolutionizing the national production of traditional Sicilian products to position itself among the market leaders in the organic production of lemons of the “Femminello Siracusano” and “Zagara Bianca” varieties.

Over the last three years, the company has initiated an important agricultural redevelopment programme between the provinces of Catania and Syracuse, through the adoption of technological solutions that allow efficient use of natural resources (particularly water), the achievement of a zero energy balance and the adoption of regenerative agronomic protocols.
